A New Well in Eden Prairie

The City of Eden Prairie is installing a new water well in Pheasant Woods Park! As this process takes place, some strange and unusual sounds may be heard coming from 300 feet beneath the earth.

Traut Wells has been drilling the well since mid-June, and is currently "developing" the newly drilled well, meaning that compressed air will be forced into the well and released many times throughout the day to “surge” the well, and improve the performance of the aquifer.

Some residents near Phesant Woods have reported hearing sounds and feeling minor vibrations; however, there is no reason to be alarmed.
