Since Kathleen was a little girl, she has always been fascinated with trying to capture the beauty in common everyday objects. Crayons and pencils were her first tools of the trade. Accurately representing the shape, shadows and texture of objects in her work provided her with a great sense of contentment and joy.
After college, a career in healthcare, and raising a family, Kathleen re-acquainted herself with the world of drawing and painting. She attended classes at the Edina Art Center and eventually completed their School of Realism. Oil is now her media of choice. She paints still life’s, portraiture's and, as of late, landscapes. She has participated in workshops offered by Michael Klein, Marc Hanson, Sherry McGraw, Scott Lloyd Anderson, Mark Balma and Richard Abraham. She views herself as a lifelong student of art.
