Similar to tennis and badminton, pickleball is played with a few varied rules on a shortened court with a net that is slightly lower than a tennis net, using a paddle and a small wiffle ball.

Indoor Open Pickleball
Pickleball is played in the Community Center gym, view the current gymnasium schedule to find out when indoor open pickleball is available.


Pickleball Drills and Clinics

Recreational Drills
Dates: Every other Monday, Oct. 1–Dec. 3
Time: 11 a.m.–noon
Location: Community Center
Cost: $Community Center Members $3, Non-members $6 (pre-registration required)
These drill sessions are a perfect way for recreational, including new players, to work on skills.

Intermediate Drills
Dates:
Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 2–Dec. 13 (no drills Nov. 22)
Time: 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Location: 
Eden Prairie Community Center, 16700 Valley View Road
Cost: 
$3 for EPCC members & $6 for non-members (pre-registration required)
These drill sessions are a great way for intermediate players to work on their skills. 

Introduction to Pickleball Clinics
Dates: Saturday, Sept. 22, or Saturday, Oct. 20
Time: 4:30–6:05 p.m.
Cost: $11 (pre-registration required)
These clinics are a great way for new players to learn about the sport.

Next-step Clinic
Dates: 
Saturdays, Sept. 22, 29 and Oct. 13 (three total sessions)
Time: 6:10–7:10 p.m.
Cost: $33
Players receive three 1-hour of on-court training sessions with the hope of going from beginner to intermediate play.

Fall Adult Pickleball League Information

Wednesdays  (Indoor Individual Ladder League 4.0+)
Dates: Sept. 26–Dec. 19
Time: 6:45 p.m. or later
Location: Community Center Gym
Registration:  Starting Sept. 7 players may register for one Community Center indoor fall league. If leagues aren't filled Sept. 14 players may sign up for a second league.
Cost: Community Center members $25, non-members $45
This league is for players who have played in 4.0+ tournaments or have competed successfully in the City of Eden Prairie pickleball Wednesday 4.0 leagues. Players should have strong kitchen and at-the-net volley skills. Players should only register if they are available at least eight weeks of the 11-week season.

Thursdays  (Mixed Doubles Teams Upper 3.0, 3.5, 4.0)
Dates: Oct. 4–Dec. 21
Time: 7:10 and 8:40 p.m.
Location: Community Center Gym
Registration: Starting Sept. 7 players may register for one Community Center indoor fall league. If leagues aren't filled Sept. 14 players may sign up for a second league.
Cost: $45 if both players are Community Center members, $65 if one or both players are not members
Sign up as a two-person mixed doubles team (one man/one woman). There are two divisions of play (upper/lower). There are 11 weeks of play, including the regular season and playoffs. Matches are four games to 11 points. This is primarily for players who have participated in 3.0–3.5 play or have competed successfully in the City of Eden Prairie pickleball leagues.
