The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for all City of Eden Prairie park construction projects. Current projects are listed below.
Cedar Hills Park Construction
Cedar Hills Park is the final neighborhood park in the City's Master Park Plan. It serves the south central portion of Eden Prairie and its completion fulfills the City's goal for parks to be located within a half-mile of all residents. The project was completed in the fall of 2017.

Eden Lake Park Playground Project
The City is partnering with Eden Prairie Schools this summer to replace the play equipment at Eden Lake Elementary School/Park. Work on the project is scheduled to begin after the school year and should be completed by the end of summer.

Riley Lake Park Boat Launch Renovation
Reconfiguration and/or reconstruction of the Riley Lake Park boat ramp parking area is scheduled to occur in 2017. A new park building will serve as a restroom and changing area for people visiting the beach.

Staring Lake Park Court Improvements
Eight new pickleball courts are coming to Staring Lake Park. They will be located near the existing basketball/tennis courts and include new shade structures and seating areas. All new courts are anticipated to be ready this fall.
