Aquajets Swim Team
Aquajets Swim Team offers children ages 6-18 the opportunity to experience competitive swimming in their Eden Prairie 13-lane private indoor training facility. The team is a member-owned non-profit with over 285 members. Aquajets is the 2009 Long Course State Champion. The Eden Prairie Baseball Association has more than 1,600 players, ages 4 to 18, in both community and travel leagues. Youth are separated by age or grade level. Registration opens in January, with the season beginning in April and playoff tournaments in July. A travel league is available for youth ages 10 to 18 with tryouts in April. Boys Basketball Association
The Eden Prairie Boys Basketball Association offers an In-House (recreational) basketball program for all grades, K-12; and a Travel program for grades 4-8. Each season more than 1,300 boys participate. Registration for all programs in held in September. The travel program runs from October through March. Travel tryouts are held in October. The in-house program runs from November to March, with varying and appropriate levels of clinics, practices, scrimmages and games for each grade. The Eden Prairie Fastpitch Association offers softball programs to over 300 girls; including both an in-house league for girls in grades pre-K through 12 and a travel league for ages 8 to 18. Registration is held in January. A fall travel league is also offered with registration in July. Fall and winter clinics are available for additional skill development. Figure Skating Club
The Eden Prairie Figure Skating Club provides training, skill development, activities and support for figure skaters at all levels and ages, both competitive and recreational. The club also meets the needs of developing skaters through its Junior Club. The Eden Prairie Figure Skating Club operates year-round and participates in the annual community ice show in the spring. More than 800 youth in grades 3-8 learn the fundamentals of football, sportsmanship, discipline and the importance of team play. Each participant will learn to play offense and defense positions. Teams are formed with an equal distribution of talent and weight limits are established for each grade.
Registration is held in May. Equipment pickup and skills evaluation are both in August with the season running August through October. Grades 4-8 will play out of town games. Foxjet Swim Team
The Eden Prairie Foxjet Swim Team provides a competitive team swimming experience for swimmers ages 4 to 22. With more than 350 swimmers, Team Foxjet has developed one of the best competitive swim programs in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest having won 21 Minnesota State Team Swimming Championships. New member registration occurs at the start of the Fall/Winter season during the first two weeks of September and then again for the Spring/Summer season during the first two weeks of April. Girls Basketball Association
The Eden Prairie Girls Basketball Association (EPGBA) offers developmental training sessions beginning with girls in Kindergarten. Rookie league is for K-1st grade in January and February. Developmental in-house Intramural play, with one practice and one game each week, is offered to girls grades 2 through 12. Registration takes place in September, evaluations take place in November and the season runs from December through March. Clinics and tournaments are held throughout the year. A travel program is available to grades 4 through 8, with two practices per week and weekend games. Registration is in August and the season runs from November through March. As the third largest hockey organization in Minnesota, the Eden Prairie Hockey Association serves more than 800 boys and girls from age 4-18. They learn the skills and strategies involved in hockey while having fun. Registrations and tryouts are held in September with the season running from October to March. Rookie camps are held in the fall and spring. Nine-year-olds and older participate in travel teams playing against neighboring communities. The Eden Prairie Lacrosse Association offers year-round learning opportunities for beginner to experienced players instructed by highly qualified lacrosse coaches. Options include girls and boys fall clinics, indoor winter camps and leagues, and summer camps and leagues for grades K through 12. The winter sessions run from January through March. Spring leagues run from March through May for middle school and high school boys and girls. Summer leagues for girls and boys at all age levels run from May through early-August. The Eden Prairie Soccer Association offers two seasons of recreational soccer to more than 3,000 youth aged between four (entering kindergarten in the fall) and 18 (in high school in the spring) in 12 age-segregated divisions. Spring registration is usually held in February with play running from May through June. Fall registration is in June with the season running from mid-August through mid-October. Teams meet twice a week with an emphasis on having fun and learning the game. Most practices and games are held at the Flying Cloud Fields but other Eden Prairie park fields are also used. The Eden Prairie Soccer Club offers a competitive travel soccer experience for youth ages seven and older to play in the spring and fall and a winter training program. Spring registration is usually in February, with the season running from May into July. Fall registrations are in August. All 800 players attend skill evaluation sessions and are placed at an appropriate team level. Track and Field Association
The Eden Prairie Track & Field Association provides children in grades K through 6 with the opportunity to learn and compete in a number of track and field events. For Grades 1-6, One-hour weekly practices are offered along with 90-minute track meets on Saturday mornings. For Kindergartners a single day Rookie camp is held in May. Twin Cities Youth Rowing Club
Year-round co-ed programs are offered to youth ages 14-18. Registration for spring is in March; registration for summer in May. Separate squads for Junior Men and Junior Women. First-year rowers compete as Novices before progressing to Varsity. Compete locally in Twin Cities and travel to regattas in Chicago and other Midwest cities.
