Dumping of Grass or Leafs in the Street
It is a misdemeanor for any person to throw or deposit in any street, right of way, public way, sidewalk or other public property any leaves, grass or tree limbs. For more information, see City Code 6.06, subd 3.

Parking in the Street during a Snowfall
It is unlawful for any person to park a vehicle on any street after a continuous or intermittent snowfall during which there has been an accumulation of two (2) inches or more of snow on any street and until the same has been plowed or removed to the full width of the roadway thereon. For more information, see City Code 8.15.

Placing Snow in the Street
Property owners are required to keep all snow and ice on their own property. City code prohibits placing snow or ice in any right-of-way, roadway, street, sidewalk, walkway, bike or trail way, easement, park or other public property. For more information, see City Code 6.06, subd 5.A.

Recreational Vehicles
Eden Prairie city code allows for the outside storage of up to two (2) recreational vehicles on residential property. If stored in the side or rear yard, the recreational vehicle must be a minimum of 10 feet from the property line. If stored in front of a house, the recreational vehicle cannot be on the lawn and must be stored on the driveway at least 15 feet from the travelled portion of the roadway. Snow Blowers and Snow Removal Equipment (Noise)

Snow Removal from Sidewalks
Although the City of Eden Prairie is responsible for the removal of snow and/or ice from sidewalks or trails abutting several streets, the majority of owners or occupants of one-or-two family dwellings that are abutting a sidewalk or trail are responsible for removing the snow and ice. This removal must be accomplished within the first 24 hours after the cessation of the precipitation. For more information, see City Code 6.21, subd 1.
