Partnership for Emergency Readiness

Throughout the United States, recent disasters and acts of terrorism have illustrated the need for a new approach to emergency preparedness. To that end, the Partnership for Emergency Readiness (PER) was formed in 2006 between the City of Eden Prairie and several Eden Prairie businesses. The purpose of the partnership is to work together towards the prevention of, and response to, disasters and acts of terrorism.

The Partnership for Emergency Readiness is committed to developing the resources and expertise within the City of Eden Prairie necessary to coordinate emergency preparedness efforts. In order to maintain the City’s economic viability, it is incumbent upon members of the Eden Prairie business community to have a comprehensive and well-designed disaster response and recovery plan. One goal of the Partnership is to enhance the business community’s ability to return to normal operations as soon as possible following a disaster.
