Protection and management of our groundwater and water resources is important to Eden Prairie’s identity – the City has 15 lakes and three creek systems, and more than 500 wetlands and 250 stormwater ponds.

Groundwater protection and management is crucial to Eden Prairie’s public health and survival. The community’s drinking water supply is critical to the sustainment of life, prevention of disease, safe and effective removal of human waste, and serves as the City’s primary resource for fire protection.

Protecting our groundwater from contamination and preserving our water resources will ensure our community’s water supply is sustainable for generations to come.
