The mission of the Eden Prairie Fire Department is to lead and strive to minimize risk, increase safety, and improve the quality of life in our community through education, code compliance and emergency response.

The Fire Department accomplishes its mission through four main divisions: Building Inspections, Fire Prevention, Emergency Response and Emergency Preparedness.

Established in 1967, the Eden Prairie Fire Department operates four fire stations with a staff of 95 paid on-call firefighters and nine full-time firefighters.

The Fire Department continuously works to maintain its ranks of 95 paid on-call firefighters. Men and women living or working within seven minutes of an Eden Prairie Fire Station are encouraged to apply.
