Eden Prairie residents are eligible to drop off materials; identification will be requested.
What can I bring?
Appliances, tires, electronics, yard waste, recyclables, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, construction waste and more!
Is there a fee?
Although many items can be disposed free of charge, certain items do have disposal fees.
These include appliances, electronics, fluorescent bulbs and a few other miscellaneous items.

What is not accepted?
Household hazardous waste is not accepted at this event. This includes paints and chemicals.
Loading Your Vehicle
Items will generally be unloaded in the order listed below for the individual stations. Please load materials in reverse order to speed up unloading of vehicles. Only items listed below will be accepted. ALL TRAFFIC MUST ENTER OFF FLYING CLOUD DRIVE ONLY.

Bicycles – There will be an organization on hand to collect bicycles for reuse.
Charitable Items – There will be an organization on hand for charitable donations.
Electronics – For a fee [PDF], electronics such as computers, televisions, VCRs and radios will be collected.
Appliances / Miscellaneous Items – For a fee [PDF], appliances such as: stoves, washers, dryers, freezers, water heaters, microwaves, dehumidifiers, dishwashers, furnaces, refrigerators, trash compactors, humidifiers, garbage disposals, propane tanks, lawn mowers, pressure washers and other lawn and garden appliances can be dropped off.
Fluorescent Bulbs / Batteries – The first 10 fluorescent light bulbs collected per vehicle will be free of charge. Additional light bulbs will be collected for a fee [PDF].
Tires – Tires will be collected for a fee [PDF].
Scrap Metal – No charge for scrap metal, including swing sets, auto parts, bicycles, lawn furniture, pipes, lawn mowers and barbecue grills that are primarily metal. Scrap metal must be clean and all fluids, such as gas or oil, must be drained completely. All non-metal parts must be removed.
General Trash / General Recyclables – Miscellaneous general trash or recyclable items not listed above will likely be accepted here. Most items are free of charge.
Furniture – Upholstered furniture, mattresses and box springs will be accepted free of charge.
Construction Waste – Building materials will be accepted free of charge. This includes carpet, linoleum, doors, screens, windows, decking, etc. No chemically treated lumber, such as railroad ties, is accepted.
Yard Waste – Bagged yard waste must be in compostable bags. Yard waste and branches up to 4 inches in diameter that are bagged or bundled with no debris are accepted free of charge. Yard waste not properly bagged or bundled may be refused if traffic conditions warrant.
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED
Items such as household hazardous wastes, railroad ties, smoke detectors, concrete blocks and motor oil are not accepted. These and other items can be taken to a Hennepin County Citizen Drop-Off Facility year round.
