Kathy Nelson is serving her second four-year term as a member of the Eden Prairie
City Council. Her current term will end Dec. 31, 2014.
Nelson currently represents the City on the Southwest Light Rail Transit Policy Board and the
Eden Prairie Community Foundation Board of Directors. She is also a member of the League of Women Voters and the
Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce where she is active with the Government Committee.
Prior to her election to the City Council, Nelson had been a longtime member of the City’s Planning Commission.
Nelson earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Minnesota. She and her family have lived in Eden Prairie since 1992.
