Phil Young was elected Mayor of Eden Prairie in the November 2006 election. Prior to that time he had served as a City Council Member for one term.
Young also spent three years as vice chair of the Human Rights & Diversity Commission from 2000 to 2002.
Young earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame and a juris doctorate from the University of Minnesota School of Law. He is a shareholder in the law firm of Moss & Barnett, P.A., located in Minneapolis and is a trial lawyer with an emphasis on business and employment litigation.
