The Flying Cloud Airport Advisory Commission advises the City Council and the Metropolitan Airports Commission, the owner and operator of the airport, on matters affecting the operation of Flying Cloud Airport and the community. 

The Commission monitors the implementation of the Final Agreement between the City of Eden Prairie and the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) as well as noise abatement methods to reduce aircraft noise in the community. The commission will also work cooperatively with MAC staff in reviewing the use and control of Flying Cloud Airport.

In addition, the commission informs and educates about the airport, the effective use of the airport and maintains relationships with all appropriate organizations with an interest in the airport.
