What are the benefits of membership?
Benefits of membership will include full use of an expanded fitness facility, group fitness classes, racquetball, open gym, skate and swim, discounts on specified Community Center events and programs, last minute discount bookings of meeting rooms. We will still offer a daily use fee for individuals and families who choose to not register for membership.
Am I required to sign an agreement?
Yes, but it is not locking you into maintaining a membership for extended periods of time. This is a month to month payment plan, with no commitment as to length of time over 60 days. The agreement represents you agreeing that we will receive payment and that you understand the policies and procedures related to the membership and our facility.
Can I pay up front for a year?
Yes, you can pay for a full year in advance. You will receive a 10% discount on your membership. If you decide to cancel before the 12 month period is over, you will receive back a prorated figure from the non discounted annual fee.
Will you be offering the insurance reimbursement programs?
Yes. We will be offering these programs for qualified members of BCBS of Minnesota, HealthPartners, Medica, Ucare, Definity and Preferred One. If you want to check on your eligibility, contact your insurance carrier.
What if I want to cancel?
We hope you will never want to cancel. In the event that you have to cancel you will need to cancel between the 1st and 15th of the month to be canceled for the end of that month. If you cancel after the 15th you will be canceled for the end of the following month.
Example – If you cancel November 1–15 your last payment will be for November. If you cancel November 16–30 your last payment will be for December.
Is there an extra fee to add on someone to my membership?
A $10 administrative fee will be assessed if you add someone (upgrade) or take someone off of your membership (downgrade), but it must follow the same guidelines as cancellation. The administrative fee and the difference in pro rated dues will apply and will be collected at the time of upgrade request.
Why do I have to pay an enrollment fee?
The administrative fee of $29 is a one time charge as long as you maintain your membership. It covers the cost of processing your membership. If you cancel or your membership lapses and you re-join, the fee will be charged again as if you were becoming a new member.
What if I go away for the winter?
You may suspend your membership for 3 months in a 12 month period. If you suspend your membership you will only be charged a $5 a month suspension fee to maintain your membership.
How can I pay for my membership?
For the automatic withdrawal system we will accept Master Card, Visa, and Discover, checking account or savings account. In the event that you want to use a checking or savings account we will ask that you provide us with a copy of a check or savings account deposit slip with the account number on it.
Why can’t I just stop in and make a payment each month at the facility?
It is very labor intensive to maintain records of payments and collect on non payments. The automated system allows for reduced labor on processing memberships.
What are the child care fees?
Child care is available to member's and patron's children ages 6 months through 8 years of age. Parents must remain in the building at all times while child is in Play Care. Trained staff will care for your child for a maximum of 2 hours per visit. Members pay $2.50 per hour; non members pay $3.50 per hour.
The Play Structure is now open to the general public. Parents must be with their children the entire time children are using the Play Structure. The Play Structure is not monitored by our staff. Fees are $3.50 per visit for children ages 18 months through 5 years of age, $4.50 per visit for children ages 5 years and older. Children under 18 months are free.

Why are there no special rates for Non- Resident Senior/Youth Fees?
We feel our membership rates are a good value. While we welcome patrons from all areas, discounts are a benefit of being a resident of Eden Prairie.
