Sustainable Eden Prairie is an ongoing effort focusing on education and implementation of sustainable practices to protect the environment and natural resources our community enjoys.

Building upon the success of the 20-40-15 initiative, the City is leading by example and providing a foundation for residents and businesses to carry out sustainable practices in four areas — energy, landscape, waste and water.

Organics Recycling Accepted at No Charge

Instead of tossing organic waste in the trash, drop it off for recycling.

Organics recyclingInstead of disposing of your organic waste in the trash, bring it to the Bloomington Drop-Off Facility.

Organics include all food, food-soiled paper, certified compostable products and other compostable household items. Drop off your organics in BPI-certified compostable bags; there is a limit of five bags per person per day.
