City of Eden Prairie Named Top 150 Workplace
For the fifth year in a row, the City of Eden Prairie has been named one of the Top 150 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune. Eden Prairie is once again the only municipal government in Minnesota to receive this recognition.
Produced by the same team that compiles the 27-year-old Star Tribune 100 report of the best-performing public companies in Minnesota, Top Workplaces recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on employee opinions measuring engagement, organizational health and satisfaction. The analysis included responses from more than 71,000 employees at Minnesota public, private and nonprofit organizations.
The rankings in the Star Tribune Top 150 Workplaces are based on survey information collected by Energage, formerly WorkplaceDynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention.
“Although receiving this honor has been an annual event, earning this honor is the result of what our employees do every single day,” said City Manager Rick Getschow. “Our employees help create an environment that values collaboration, innovation, integrity, performance and relationships. It’s truly an honor to work with a team that makes Eden Prairie one of the top places to work, live and play.”
Mayor Nancy Tyra-Lukens agreed. “I’ve been so proud to work alongside these employees. Year after year they continue to build a work environment that brings out the best in everyone,” said Mayor Tyra-Lukens. “When Eden Prairie’s residents, businesses and visitors tell me what they love about Eden Prairie,” she added, “I tell them to thank City employees because they’re the ones who make it happen.”
