EPPD Investigating Home Burglary and Death
At 10:41 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, Eden Prairie Police received a call from an adult female who said her home on Jennifer Court had been broken into and two suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The caller also said an adult male who was in the home with her at the time of the burglary was in need of medical attention.
The Eden Prairie Police and Fire Departments, along with Hennepin County EMS, responded and performed CPR on the adult male who was eventually pronounced deceased on scene. It was not immediately clear to first responders at the scene what may have caused the man’s medical condition.
The initial investigation indicates the home invasion was a targeted incident and Police believe there is no danger to the public related to this case. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the identity of the deceased and cause of death.
The Eden Prairie Police Department and Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab are processing the scene and investigating this case. Because this is an active investigation, there are no further details available at this time.
