Fun Volunteer Opportunity!

Post Date:October 31, 2018

Officer on RadioThe Eden Prairie Police Department SWAT team is hosting a number of teams from throughout the metro area for a large-scale training session Nov. 13. This training will help the teams prepare for mass protests and riots – and that’s where you can help!

The PD is seeking a large number of volunteers to serve as “protesters” during the training. You will be asked to do things such as yelling, chanting and throwing tennis balls at the officers.

If you or any of your family and friends are interested in volunteering for a 2-4 hour shift from 12–4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, please contact Officer Brandon Carlston with the names, email addresses and availability of those who wish to volunteer.

Please Note:

  • The training will be in Eden Prairie but the location will be determined and communicated when finalized
  • To thank you for your time, the EPPD will provide lunch at 12 p.m.
  • Be sure you have supervisor approval to volunteer during your scheduled work hours
  • Please notify Officer Carlston by Nov. 6 if you’re interested in volunteering
