Eden Prairie Liquor Customers Donate Thousands to PROPCity of Eden Prairie
Throughout the month of November, Eden Prairie Liquor stores hosted a Dollar Drive inviting customers to contribute just $1 each time they visited. In addition, the liquor operation hosted a Happy Hour for Hunger event aimed at collecting donations to help fill food shelves this holiday season. Together, these efforts raised a total of $5,019.11 and 260 pounds of food for PROP food shelf

Hennepin County Citizen Advisory Board Vacancies
The Hennepin County Board of Commissioners is recruiting volunteers for 28 citizen advisory board positions through its annual open appointment process. Each fall the board appoints residents to volunteer service positions on advisory boards, commissions, councils and special task forces. Appointees advise commissioners and help set policy on a variety of topics.

Apply by Dec. 31, 2018, at hennepin.us/advisoryboards. The board will conduct interviews beginning in January 2019.

The City's building inspections manager, Kevin Schmieg, discusses how the City offices have changed since the '80s, what the City is doing to make applying for permits easier and why he almost got left behind on an Alaskan adventure. 

Staff News
The City recently welcomed Alyssa Meyer and Natalie Kalkes as record technicians. Before joining the City, Alyssa worked at Donna Law Firm. She earned a bachelor's degree in paralegal studies. Prior to starting at Eden Prairie, Natalie worked at the Carver County Sheriff's Office in the records department. She earned a bachelor's degree in corrections from Mankato State University.
