Welcome Officers Hernandez and Klein
This afternoon EPPD Chief Greg Weber swore in the department’s two newest officers, Miguel Hernandez and Kyle Klein.
Officer Hernandez grew up in Lakeville, Minnesota and received an associate’s degree in law enforcement from Rasmussen College. Officer Hernandez has worked as a Community Service Officer for the EPPD since May 2017. During that time, he also worked as a Community Service Officer for Carver County. Officer Hernandez also currently serves in the Marine Corps Reserve as a bulk fuel specialist.
Officer Klein grew up in Winona, Minnesota and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary’s University and his Law Enforcement Certificate from Hennepin Technical College. Prior to coming to Eden Prairie, Officer Klein worked for the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office as a part-time Corrections Officer and at Presidio, INC as a Network Technician.
Both officers will spend the next 3-4 months in the department’s Field Training program before patrolling by themselves.
