Housing Task Force
On Tuesday evening, the City Council appointed the following residents to the new Housing Task Force, which will meet over the next nine months to address lifecycle housing, inclusive and affordable housing, and other housing options in Eden Prairie.

2018 Human Rights Awards
Members of the Human Rights and Diversity Commission announced the 2018 Human Rights Award winners this week. The award recognizes a local individual, youth, nonprofit organization and/or business who have worked to create an inclusive community spirit through actions, activities or programs.

Women's One Acts
Eden Prairie Players presents Women's One Acts, a collection of short plays written and directed by women, at the Riley-Jacques Barn, 9100 Riley Lake Road beginning tonight. Tickets are available online or at the door.

Prairie Pour Event
A significant snow storm in April led to Eden Prairie Liquor rescheduling its Prairie Pour: Wine and Beer Sampler for next Friday, May 17 in the Garden Room of Eden Prairie at City Center. The event includes an evening of wine, beer, hors d'oeuvres and live music.
Hennepin Town Road
The City is constructing a dedicated right turn lane on Hennepin Town Road, south of Pioneer Trail. There will be short-term lane closures on both Pioneer Trail and Hennepin Town Road to accommodate the work. Work is expected to begin Monday, May 13 and be completed by the end of June.
Stage 1 construction on the Preserve Boulevard Improvement Project began this week. Work includes traffic control and roadway work along the west side of Preserve Boulevard including pavement and sidewalk removal, and public utility installation.
Eden Prairie Road
Street and utility construction resumed this week. Activity will include grading work and hauling of materials for the next several weeks.
Round Lake Park Playground
The Round Lake Park playground is closed for replacement of the rubber play surface. Construction is projected to be completed Friday, May 24.
Light Pole Banner Design Contest
Residents of all ages can submit art for the City's light pole banner design contest by Friday, May 17 that evoke the spirit of our community. Voting will take place at the end of May and winning designs will be displayed on light poles throughout Eden Prairie beginning this summer.
