Community Drop-Off Day
The City's annual Community Drop-Off Day is Saturday, June 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hennepin Technical College. Get rid of unwanted items that can't be disposed of in the trash or recycling bin. Dispose of trash/refuse, recycle appliances, donate bikes and more. The event is open to Eden Prairie residents with a valid ID for proof of residency. No hazardous waste is accepted.

City Offering Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Application Assistance
Housing and Community Services staff members are offering two sessions to help residents with completing applications for Metro HRA Section 8 housing waiting list lotteries. The application period is limited to June 12–18. Assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis 9 a.m.–noon Thursday, June 13, and noon–3 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the Housing and Community Services office located in the lower level of Eden Prairie Center mall. Residents can also contact Megan Yerks at 952-949-8394 to schedule private appointments.
"Real Talk With Rick" Podcast
"Family Values" is the latest installment of the Real Talk With Rick podcast. Jon Thompson, the City's senior real estate appraiser, chats with Rick about growing up in Eden Prairie, the property valuation process and belonging to a family with six siblings who are appraisers.
Light Pole Banner Design Contest Winners
This spring, residents of all ages submitted original artwork to participate in the City's light pole-banner design contest. From a group of eight finalists, online voters helped choose three winning designs. Congratulations to Eden Prairie residents David Gregoire, Kelley Regan and Patricia Young! Their artwork will be displayed on light poles throughout Eden Prairie later this summer.

The Eden Prairie Players production of "State Fair" — a musical written by Rodgers and Hammerstein and directed by Stephen Houtz — begins next Friday at Staring Lake Amphitheatre. "State Fair" is a warm-hearted family show which takes a family from the routine of their farm for three days of adventure at the Iowa State Fair. The Eden Prairie Community Band provides instrumentals as the pit orchestra.
