Riley-Purgatory-Bluff Creek Watershed District Board Vacancy
Residents are encouraged to apply for the at-large vacancy on the Riley-Purgatory-Bluff Creek Watershed District Board. The Board works to educate the public, prepare and implement a plan for the Watershed District, and protect its natural resources. If selected for appointment, the term would be for three years. Sheldon Place Townhomes Development Project
At its June 10 meeting, the Planning Commission recommended Council approval of Schaefco Development's Sheldon Place Townhomes project at 7960 Eden Prairie Road, across from Smith Coffee. The 10-town home development would consist of two triplexes and two twin homes.
Adopt a Storm Drain Volunteer Program
Did you know you can adopt a storm drain in your community? If you’d like to help keep the water in and debris out of your neighborhood drains, residents are encouraged to sign up for the City's storm drain volunteer programs at edenprairie.org/StormDrain. The City provides all supplies needed.
Coffee with the Cops
From 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, the Police Department and SWAT Team will host a “Coffee with the Cops” event at the Senior Center. Officer and Senior Liaison Elizabeth Stroner will be there to field your law enforcement questions and discussion topics. Register for free at edenprairie.org/Register by Monday, June 17.
Solar Power Hour
The Midwest Renewable Energy Association is offering an educational session on the Solar Twin Cities group buy program Thursday, June 20 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Community Center. This program is aimed at lowering the cost of solar energy conversion, reducing energy costs and assessing solar potential. Miss Minnesota Pageant Kickoff
The kickoff event for the 2019 Miss Minnesota Pageant is this Saturday, June 15 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Eden Prairie Center. Entry is free to this event, but pageant competitions at the Eden Prairie High School Performing Arts Center require tickets for attendance. Tickets can be purchased at missminnesota.org.
