The City of Eden Prairie received the Step 5 award in the Minnesota GreenStep Cities program at the League of Minnesota Cities annual conference in June. Eden Prairie is one of 13 cities to reach Step 5, which is the highest level of achievement in the program.

“This award is a great honor for Eden Prairie,” said Mayor Ron Case. “And by being part of the program, Eden Prairie and our peers are helping to make Minnesota more resilient for the future while also helping our cities thrive economically."

GreenStep Cities is a free continuous improvement program based on 29 best practices tailored to Minnesota cities, with a focus on cost savings, energy use reduction and civic innovation.
