Reward for Information: Armed Robbery on Anderson Lakes Parkway
On Tuesday, Aug. 20, Police responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Anderson Lakes Parkway, between Neill Lake Road and Preserve Boulevard.
The victims, an adult male and female, were walking on the south side of Anderson Lakes Parkway at approximately 8:40 p.m. when two adult males approached, assaulted them with knives and demanded money. The suspects fled the area on foot. Both victims were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are seeking information on the individuals believed to be responsible for this crime:
Suspect #1: Black male, 6-feet tall, 200 pounds, wearing a black hat, black sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Suspect #2: Black male, 6-feet 5-inches tall, 220 pounds, wearing a black hat, dark blue sweatshirt and black pants.
Call 952-949-6200 if you have information about this incident, the Eden Prairie Crime Prevention Fund is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for committing this crime.
This type of crime is not common in our community; however, it is always important to remain vigilant about personal safety:
- Be aware of your surroundings and travel in familiar, high-traffic areas with good lighting, especially after dark.
- Carry as few valuables as possible, limit cash, credit cards and electronics to what you absolutely need.
- Avoid using your phone; it not only distracts you from what is happening around you, but can also be a target for theft.
