The City of Eden Prairie coordinates several events each year to help bring our community together.

From music and theater to recreational events for the whole family, our gatherings give every member of the community a reason to celebrate.

Annual Spring Events
Animal Open House
In April, the Outdoor Center is host to this event that gives participants a chance to meet all kinds of animals including raptors, rabbits, reptiles and more.

Park Clean-Up Day
Park Clean-Up Day is typically in April and is a great opportunity for service organizations, youth organizations and neighborhood groups to do their part in keeping Eden Prairie’ parks and trail systems clean.

Arbor Day Walk and Green Fair
In May, celebrate Eden Prairie’s designation as a “Tree City USA” with a variety of eco-friendly vendors and children's activities.

Arts in the Park
A daylong art fair in May at Purgatory Creek Park, featuring artwork for sale by local and regional artists. The event includes entertainment, activities for kids, food vendors and wine/beer tasting.

Annual Summer Events
Starring at Staring Concert Series
A variety of live musical entertainment each summer at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre. The concert series features performances every Sunday, Thursday and Friday evening, June through August.

Women's One Acts
The Eden Prairie Players perform one-act plays written and directed by women. Performances are at the Riley-Jacques Barn.

Senior Center Garden Party
Live music, refreshments and friends make this annual June event at the Senior Center a great time for area seniors.

4th of July Hometown Celebration (July 3–4)
It’s a “Hometown Celebration” with a variety of activities, live entertainment and concessions  spread over two days at Round Lake Park to commemorate our country’s independence. This two-day event culminates the evening of July 4 with an impressive fireworks display.

KidStock Concert Series
An eight-week series of musical performances for kids at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre.

Summer Musical
The Eden Prairie Players present a popular summer musical at Staring Lake Amphitheatre each summer. Seven performances in June.

Minnesota Festival of Jazz on the Prairie
Six area big bands perform at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre in June, in partnership with the Eden Prairie Noon Rotary offering mouthwatering BBQ ribs. The festival finale is Eden Prairie's Jazz on the Prairie Big Band.

Senior Center Golf Classic
This is a great opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of fresh air and fun with friends. This event features a "Best Ball" format and is open to foursomes, pairs or individuals looking to be paired up.

Children’s Summer Theater Workshop
The Eden Prairie Players present an annual summer theater workshop for kids, followed by five performances at the Riley-Jacques Barn in August.

Movies in the Park
See a free movie under the stars! Three movie nights take place at the Staring Lake Amphitheatre in August. Family friendly entertainment starts at 7:30 p.m. each night before the movie.

Senior Center BBQ
A picnic meal and live entertainment at the Senior Center make this an event to remember for area seniors in August each year.

A series of community events to celebrate the unique cultures represented in Eden Prairie. This community celebration of culture includes music, dance, storytelling visual art, food and more.

Annual Fall Events
A Collection of One Acts
The Eden Prairie Players perform one-act plays at the Riley-Jacques Barn. This annual fall event includes seven performances with light refreshments served 30 minutes prior to the start of the production and during intermission.

Fall Lunch at the Senior Center
Food, fun and fellowship make this annual Senior Center event a good time — typically takes place in October.

Fall Harvest Celebration
In October, this event celebrates Eden Prairie’s rich heritage at the historic Riley-Jacques Farmstead. Features live entertainment, cultural and historical displays, concessions and activities for kids.

Fire and Police Open House
Residents get an up-close and personal look at how the departments serve our community. Watch demonstrations, visit information-packed booths, collect giveaway items, climb on the equipment and enjoy the refreshments.

Spooky Saturday
Children’s event at the Community Center includes costume contests, skating, arts and crafts activities and refreshments. Annual event typically takes place the Saturday before Halloween.

Halloween on the Mall
A night of safe trick-or-treating at Eden Prairie Center. Annual event typically takes place the weekend before Halloween.

Senior Center Veterans Breakfast
Celebrate and honor the veterans who have served our country. All are welcome to this fully-catered breakfast with guest speaker, held at the Senior Center.

Annual Winter Events
Share the Warmth Holiday Band Concert
An opportunity to give back by bringing a non-perishable food item or warm article of clothing to this events featuring the Eden Prairie Community Band.

Holiday Lunch at the Senior Center
This annual celebration gives area seniors a chance to socialize and enjoy a traditional holiday meal at the Senior Center each December.

Father and Daughter Sweetheart Dance
A chance for dads and daughters to spend quality time together, this event is typically held in The Garden Room at City Center in February of each year.

Winter Blast 
Annual evening event at Staring Lake Park sledding hill and ice skating rink in January, includes music, bonfire, winter activities and refreshments.

Senior Center Valentine Breakfast
Seniors enjoy a catered meal and a chance to converse with friends each Valentine’s Day at the Senior Center.

Winter Community Theater
Annual Eden Prairie Players production. Five performances in February.

Annual Ice Show
Join friends at the Community Center for a chance to see local skaters perform in familiar favorites. Presented by the Eden Prairie Figure Skating Club.
