Youth Tennis Lessons – Fall, Winter, Spring
Ages 5–14
Join TGA (Teach Grow Achieve) in learning fundamentals, etiquette and rules of the game in a fun and supportive environment. Skills are developed through engaging drills and games while tennis is used as a vehicle for teaching educational concepts including STEM.

Youth Tennis Lessons – Summer
Using the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) NetGeneration curriculum, certified instructors teach tennis skills and build character in a fun, positive and welcoming environment. Lessons are developed to build on skills learned in previous age groups; however, new players are welcome at any level.

Ages 4–6
Participants learn the athletic skills needed for tennis and build confidence on the court through individual and group games. Players build hand-eye coordination and movement skills as well as gain comfort with the equipment.

Ages 6–8
Players build character and a basic understanding of the game while working on the foundations for serving, rallying and scoring while continuing to build hand-eye coordination and movement skills.

Ages 8–11
Players are introduced to the serve and return while also revisiting the fundamental strokes of tennis. Players develop more control and learn to carry on a complete rally with a variety of strokes and longer duration.

14U Team Tennis (ages 11–14)
This program brings a fun, team element to the sport of tennis with a consistent group of players and coaches throughout the summer. With a focus on developing match play skills, each day of lessons ends with practice matches. Players have the opportunity to play matches against other teams in the metro area. Build tennis skills together in a cooperative, team environment.

18U Team Tennis (ages 15–18)
This is a competitive league for boys and girls on varsity squads or those looking for a challenge. The team is for players who are confident in their basic tennis skills and want to participate in a lot of match play throughout the summer. Singles, doubles and mixed doubles are played. There is a combination of practice and match play with an emphasis on skill development, fun, teamwork and friendly competition. Matches are against other area teams of similar age and ability levels. Fee includes a tennis uniform shirt.

What Should I Bring?
Remember to bring your water bottle, tennis shoes, sunscreen and tennis racket. Tennis balls are provided.

Kids — Need a Tennis Racket?
Junior tennis rackets can be purchased online for summer tennis lessons. Rackets must be ordered two weeks before the first lesson. Please provide the student’s height in inches. Look for more information when registering.

How to choose the correct tennis racket for my child?
If a child is 5 years old or younger and is 44 inches or shorter, a 19- or 21-inch racket is a good fit. If a child is age 6 to 8 and is 45–49 inches tall, select a 23-inch racket. For children age 8 to 10 with a height between 50 and 55 inches, a 25-inch racket is appropriate. A child can comfortably handle a 26-inch racket if he/she is older than 10 and taller than 55 inches. Click here for USTA video about sizing tennis rackets.
