In Eden Prairie, government business doesn’t happen behind closed doors, and we strive to use the latest in technology to make government records available to the public.

We are proud of how we put your tax dollars to work and we want you to know about it.

We also keep the public informed of meetings where important decisions are made and make records of past meetings available. Below are public records that are currently available. This list continues to grow as we are able to add new technology and functionality.

Broadcasting Meetings
While the public is always welcome to attend any City meeting, we understand not everyone can. So City Council and Planning Commission meetings are televised live on EPTV, streamed live on CITY TV and are available on-demand within 24 hours of each meeting.

Budget Information
Current and past budget documents, including Capital Improvement Plans and Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports, are available on the City Budget page of the website.

City Commissions
There is a page for each Eden Prairie commission on the website which lists the names of commission members who are appointed by the City Council. Also included are commission charter statements and information about what the commissions are working on.

Meeting Notices
Public meetings are posted through an online Events Calendar, which allows users to sign up for CITY NEWS email/text notices. Subscribers receive notifications of schedule changes, when meeting agendas become available and, in the case of City Council and Planning Commission meetings, when the meeting video is available on-demand. Meetings can also be added directly to personal calendars.

Meeting Records
City Council meeting minutes are searchable by date and keyword on the website via CITY DOCS. In addition, meeting minutes for each City Commission are available using this tool.

Highest Paid Employees
In addition, Minnesota state law — Chapter 156 of the Session Laws of 2005 — requires that "a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees."

The City of Eden Prairie provides this information here on the Transparency page of the City website, which is available 365 days a year.

For the City of Eden Prairie, titles, names and salaries of the three highest-paid employees are:

City Manager Rick Getschow — $181,230
Public Works Director Robert Ellis — $153,129
Parks and Recreation Director Jay Lotthammer — $147,451
