Social Services in Eden Prairie

Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County, formerly known as Community Action Partnership of Suburban Hennepin (CAPSH), works to establish services, programs and partnerships that address poverty and increase family and economic stability in Hennepin County. Services include: energy assistance, home ownership programs, tax assistance, legal services, financial counseling, housing stabilization, supportive services for veteran families and more.

HOME Line provides free legal, organizing, education and advocacy services so that tenants throughout Minnesota can solve their own rental housing problems. The program works to improve public and private policies relating to rental housing by involving affected tenants in the process.

MoveFwd provides free counseling to Eden Prairie middle and high school teens and their families. The service offers crisis intervention, individual/family/group counseling, and financial and emotional support for homeless and runaway youth.

PROP Food Shelf (People Reaching Out to People) is a volunteer-driven agency serving residents of Eden Prairie and Chanhassen. PROP operates a food shelf, provides emergency financial assistance, and offers short-term case management, as well as resources and support to regain self-sufficiency.

Senior Resources

The PROP Shop provides free clothing, household goods and furniture to Eden Prairie and Chanhassen residents in need. The PROP Shop also operates a donation center where members of the community can help by donating goods, volunteering and shopping at the resale store.
