Originally created in 1980, Art on City Walls is an opportunity for local and regional artists to exhibit their work in City facilities.
Media ranging from photography and paintings to murals and collages are considered for exhibition at the Art Center. Up to 40 pieces of art may be shown, depending on size. Exhibitions change every six weeks and are open Monday through Friday during business hours.
Two-dimensional works must be framed and ready to hang with wire/cable. Paintings do not need to be framed, but they must prepared to hang with wire/cable. A hanging system with hooks is provided by the Art Center. Three-dimensional works must be less than 18-inches high by 24-inches wide and 8-inches deep. Artwork is hung in the hallways and common areas. Additional exhibition space is available at the Senior Center.
Applications are accepted until Dec. 15 for the next year's exhibition calendar. Artists are chosen based on merit and preference is given to Eden Prairie artists.
If you do not have enough pieces for your own exhibit, we can schedule your show with one or more other artists. Please note this on your application. If you would like to schedule an open house during your exhibition you will be able to do so Monday–Thursday evenings at any time during your exhibition.
All exhibits are free and open to the public.
