When will non-members and day pass purchasers be able to access the facility?
Enrollments for new memberships will be accepted starting Monday, June 22. However, day pass purchases will not be sold at this time. We will maintain member-only access until further restrictions are lifted under the Stay Safe Minnesota order.
When will open gym resume?
Currently under the Stay Safe Minnesota order, gymnasium usage is not recommended for open play. To comply with physical distancing, the gymnasium is going to be utilized as a fitness studio for part of the day for the near future. As more regulations are lifted, open gym and open play will be considered and planned for future use.
Why do I have to sign up for lap swimming and group fitness classes?
Similar to a restaurant experience, advanced online sign-ups allows us to safely control capacity, at any given time, of lanes and classes. This is important for member and staff safety. This process is encouraged under the Stay Safe Minnesota order.
Will I be able to use pool equipment when I attend lap swimming?
Starting Monday, June 22, the Community Center will have pool equipment available to members. However, we recommend you bring your own equipment if you have it.
Will I be turned away or have to wait in line to get on the fitness floor with the 25% capacity guidelines?
Capacity on the fitness floor is 75 people based on calculations of pieces of equipment, square footage and fire code. It is unlikely that we will hit that number and have to turn people away. The front desk is counting members as they go up to the fitness floor and counting those who are exiting the fitness floor, so that we have an accurate head count at all times to stay within compliance and allow as much as access as is allowable.
