Warming houses and outdoor skating rinks are closed for the season.

The City's ice rinks are open during winter months, and are flooded, swept and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department, weather permitting. During open hours, the warming houses are available, rinks are lit and attendants are on duty. Bring your own skates; rentals are not available at the outdoor rinks.

Cold Weather Policy
For the safety of users and staff, ice rinks and sledding hills will be closed when the windchill drops to minus 20 degrees, according to the weather report one hour before the scheduled opening. The policy has been set for use of sledding hills and ice rinks during cold weather to conserve energy and also for the safety of the users and staff. The warming houses will reopen when the wind chill is warmer than minus 20 degrees.

Call the weather and information line at 952-949-8449, option 1 for updated rink closing information due to extreme cold weather or unsafe ice due to warm weather conditions.
